Father Anthony Rivalli visited Fort Colville in 1845---nearly twenty years after it was established. He led the Indians of the Kettle Falls area to build a small chapel of rough logs and brush. By 1845 that chapel had been replaced by a sturdy hand-hewn log church with priests' quarters. The portage road that began at the boat landing below Kettle Falls passed just in front of the church on the way to Fort Colville.

The church was an active cultural and social center. In regular use until the early 1880's, it became a victim of changing times.

In 1929 the structure was restored to its present condition---a monument to the mission era of the northwest frontier.

St. Paul's Mission is dedicated to the mission of St. Paul (Saul of Tarsus) missionary to the gentiles. That being to take the good news that Jesus of Nazareth 2000 years ago, redeemed mankind from the powers of death and hell. To the extent possible we support the work of missionaries and ministries through this community location and provide the following discipleship training tools.

The Gospel of Personal Relationship

Did you ever stop to think that every person who has ever lived has a personal relationship with not only Jesus and God, but also the devil? This audio from the Sunday April 20th 2008 radio broadcast of the
White Horse Inn on April 20, 2008, gives insights uncommon in evangelicalism to the habitually used relationship religious discussions of "Jesus in your heart," "A personal relationship and walking with God," and "Your life within the Body (the church, now and in history)."

Stupid Does as Stupid is

Getting Stupid - White Horse Inn Broadcast/Podcast October 12th 2008.

The Gospel of Being Stupid really isn’t the gospel at all, it is the current method of most of Christianity to reach the lost. The problem is that this gospel is based upon the same Enlightenment wishful thinking of unlimited human potential, as is the worldly system it professes to want to save. The underlying Biblical and Natural Law states the Truth that we live in a fallen world as sinful human beings, and we need a Savior from this mess we have created. That salvation rests entirely on the finished work of Jesus Christ on a cross two thousand years ago, as a propitiatory sacrifice to satisfy the requirements of God’s law, both specific and natural. His resurrection three days later is the verifiable promise that that sacrifice was accepted as an Eternal Truth that must be received by faith alone. The Christian church was commissioned by God to be that Truth repository, it is time for the church, Protestant, Orthodox, and Roman Catholic to return to preaching that only hope for mankind.

The Creeds are confessions of faith used throughout church history.

Martin Luther's
Disputation on the Divinity and Humanity of Christ; February 27, 1540; Sourced from Project Wittenberg.

The Heidelberg Catechism was written in Heidelberg at the request of Elector Frederick III, ruler of the most influential German province, the Palatinate, from 1559 to 1576. This pious Christian prince commissioned Zacharius Ursinus, twenty-eight years of age and professor of theology at the Heidelberg University, and Caspar Olevianus, twenty-six years old and Frederick's court preacher, to prepare a catechism for instructing the youth and for guiding pastors and teachers. Frederick obtained the advice and cooperation of the entire theological faculty in the preparation of the Catechism. The Heidelberg Catechism was adopted by a Synod in Heidelberg and published in German with a preface by Frederick III, dated January 19, 1563.

Shortly after this Reformed Churches quickly adopted and endorsed this work, Lutheran Churches not wanting to appear Reformed or Calvinist then rejected it. That being said, The Heidelberg Catechism fills a void for we the more sophisticated and enlightened 21st Century citizens, that simply being most Christians and non Christians know nothing about church history, nor have they ever received anything which could be remotely called "catechesis."

This version is adapted from the Catechism authorized by the Canadian and American Reformed Churches.

1, 2, 3, D: A Deductive Bible Study Paradigm; is based upon deduction rather than an the inductive method. From the great principles of the Bible one is able to discern the true meaning of Bible passages, limiting to a high degree personal emotional and personal biases. Thereby, such study gives an individual and the study group a better understanding of their roles in God's glorious plan of redemption.
