And he who was seated on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new." Also he said, "Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true." Revelation 21:5
The last few weeks have been quite interesting in all the attention directed to new things. We get a New Year about this time on an annual basis, but for 2011 in the United States, on the political front we also get a significantly reordered House of Representatives, a more balanced Senate, and many more conservative state governors and state legislatures.
Wasn’t it just two brief years ago we got, “Hope in change that we can believe in?”
The new slogan for the decade so far as been, “Change, change everywhere and we like none of it.”
I find it quite interesting, especially with television talk show hosts, that often in the context of political change in Washington DC, government ethanol subsidies is often the ad hoc remark concerning the failures of the last Congress.
Why shouldn’t it be? For as long as the sun rises, temperate zone ethanol production from corn will always be one of the most stupid energy schemes, ever devised in the mind of man. While we are at defunding the current $6 billion subsidy, we need to get rid of the whole process including the executive order requirement that ethanol be added to gasoline, with its $0.45 per gallon incentive, and concluding with this nonsense about making 15 percent ethanol fuel available anywhere — for as long as the sun rises.
While we are at it, we need to get government out of all phases of energy market making and planning and let true free markets in energy allow the country to prosper and provide jobs. Of course that hasn’t happened in this country since before the Great Depression and the New Deal, so what an opportunity that might create.
Digressing for a moment, it seems that the new Congress for some time however, will be concerned about cutting government spending and passing a landmark repeal of ObamaCare, even if it is just for the ego trip.
What should we have learned in the last couple of years?
First and foremost was the reality the Keynesian government based spending to increase consumerism doesn’t work. We got this learning opportunity by finding out that supply side laissez faire economics didn’t work either, especially when practiced in a world based upon social Darwinism and crony capitalism, rather than true natural law free markets.
That really seems to mean in the short term is that we will cut quite a bit of government spending and go back, to quote President Obama, “The same old policies that got us into this mess.”
Of course the reasons that the Obama Mess and the George W. Bush Mess haven’t helped all that much, except the bogus world of Wall Street and global finance, is that they created a form of an alternate reality, that it was hoped, could transcend natural law truth, with funny money, leveraged debt, derivatives and hedge funds as the perpetual motion machines to keep a Babylonian enlightenment worldview from collapsing.
The far left is also looking forward to making all things new this year through a revolution, violent if necessary. The great thing about intellectuals, especially college professors and their descendants, is to prove the popular axiom — those who can’t cut it teach.
In his first show of the New Year yesterday, Glenn Beck is still prophesying that they, the radical communist and socialists, are attempting to collapse the system. Humpty Dumpty is going to fall off the wall anyway, and if they will help the process along, so be it. That means we can start the true redux process earlier than natural law would ordinarily allow.
We are not living in ancient Babylon, nor in Russia during the revolution, hence these revolutionary radicals don’t understand the energetics required, to not just put Humpty Dumpty together again, they won’t even be able to coble together a regime to enforce their progressive wishes by force. Off course to make sense of this reality you need to understand a couple of laws of thermodynamics, but why worry about the truth and facts, when you are out to change the world.
When you add to that, the American Republic is founded upon the natural human laws of inalienable self-evident rights given to mankind by God, what you see in these intellectual radicals is and impossible dream of those who are unwilling to look at true reality.
As we have been preaching for some weeks now, we need to look at the founding of the United States and the protestant Reformation as advances not just of the Kingdom of God, that Jesus discussed at length, but also the Divine Provision for the development of what is called Western Culture. In that enlightenment, even though militant Islam has tried repeatedly to take over Europe, it has eventually failed and so will the current jihadist movement.
The reason for that Islamic failure is simply that the Kingdom of God is based upon God’s grace in fulfillment of religious law, in this case the Mosaic Law given at Mount Sinai. While Islam recognizes this law, it adds a few more from the religion of ancient Babylon, and some of its own.
So while not to attempt to make a highway to the period of time pronounced in the above reference in Revelation 21:5, you can take the popular saying that says, “Don’t mess with Texas,” and kick it up to the final redux of this present age and every successful development of human achievement throughout the history of time. “Behold I make all things new and you can either get with the program or face the eternal consequences.”
This current mess in the world is basically leading towards a fulfillment of the Great Commission as illustrated by the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 9:19-23:
For though I am free from all, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win more of them. To the Jews I became as a Jew, in order to win Jews. To those under the law I became as one under the law (though not being myself under the law) that I might win those under the law. To those outside the law I became as one outside the law (not being outside the law of God but under the law of Christ) that I might win those outside the law. To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all people, that by all means I might save some. I do it all for the sake of the gospel, that I may share with them in its blessings.
For our part here at Wonder Springs, as a beginning of new things we have become part of our for-profit company PREFER Ltd. That means while we will still take your donations to help us defer our costs, they will no longer be a tax deductible donation in the United States.
More to the point, we would like to focus upon the opportunities that we will make available within PREFER Ltd, to help us bring into reality the slogan: Cultivating the Redux of American Entrepreneurship. There we have created a new “Gold Rush Blog” to allow you to understand our funding based upon real wealth that flourishes in turbulent times. As an entrepreneurial company that is based upon Divine Providence in the affairs of men, we will work diligently to create new wealth and use that wealth to provide opportunities to give others a hand-up — rather than a handout.
At the present we are in need of that hand-up, but would be willing to share with you the vision of this opportunity designed specifically for the turbulent times in which we currently all find ourselves as individuals. With a little kick start we won’t need to sell books and shirts to help make our way, but rather use our blessings as a means to share the abundant grace of God’s kingdom.
